Our client wanted us to design and build a multi-purpose shop/barn. As an avid hunter, the client planned to use the building for animal processing, as well as farm maintenance, equipment storage and maintenance, and small animal housing.

The following were important to our client to capture in this project:

• A building large enough to fulfill several functions.
• Defined spaces for different activities.
• Space to store tractors and other farm vehicles.

The client was happy to consider a style other than a typical metal clad outbuilding, so we designed and built a beautiful wooden building that enhanced the lovely rural location, complementing the surrounding woodlands. The inside of the building was clad in wood paneling, and we ensured it was brightly lit and spacious, with cupboards, a large utility sink and double overhead doors for vehicle access.

There is plenty of space for all the different activities the client requested, and we were even able to add some extra special features: an engineered beam and track for hoisting game animals for processing, as well as a floor drain system so that the entire building can be hosed down.
